  • Cornhole: The game itself, also known as beanbag toss.
  • Cornhole board: The raised platform on which the game is played, typically made of wood or another durable material.
  • Cornhole bags: Small bags filled with corn or similar materials that are tossed at the cornhole boards.
  • Hole: The circular hole on the cornhole board.
  • Woody: When a cornhole bag lands on the board, it's called a woody.
  • Cornhole: When a cornhole bag lands in the hole, it's called a cornhole.
  • Canceling: When a player lands a bag in the hole, and the opposing player lands a bag in the hole as well. This results in both players receiving no points.

  • Wipeout: When a player lands all their bags in the hole, and their opponent doesn't land any.

  • Cornhole courts: The area where the game is played, often outdoors, with two cornhole boards facing each other.
  • House: The area of the board from the front edge to the hole.
  • Backstop: The area of the board from the hole to the back edge.
